Wasting Time by Brent Faiyaz (Ft Drake)

“Wasting Time” is a record with an all-star lineup. For weeks, I’ve been waiting for the stuff that Brent Faiyaz and the Neptunes had been collaborating on. To say the least, I wasn’t expecting to get a new Drake feature as well. The production on the record is timeless, making for encumbering soundscape for these songwriters. Drake also gives a verse that feels reminiscent of when he first got on.

Movies by BLXST & Bino Rideaux

This is a summer heater! Blxst and Bino Rideaux are a dynamic duo, and I’m a fan of every collaboration they have. However, this one feels like it’s going to be one of their most significant collaborations to date. The dream guitar and smooth percussion lend themselves to be the perfect poolside record. Not to mention both artists come with some incredibly catchy and melodic flows.

Go by Kaelin Ellis

Producer extraordinaire Kaelin Ellis gave us a crazy five-track ep called Remnants early in the week. From the project, my favorite song has to be “GO”, I love the vocal sample that is woven between the bombastic bass. The multiple elements to the instrumental always keep you engaged as the listener; I highly recommend you listen to the project.

Passion by PinkPantheress

“Passion” has been going viral on Tik Tok for the past months, and PinkPantheress finally blessed us with it. I’m ecstatic that I can finally listen to the whole record on streaming services because it’s blissful. Her angelic singing over her signature liquid drum and bass production is a match made in heaven.

Ruthless by Midwxst

Midwxst is a name that you’ve probably seen growing in 2021. After a plethora of successful releases and some of the best music to come out of the year. It’s fair to say that Midwxst is on his way to extreme stardom; “Ruthless” is just another step closer.

Good at Being Lonely by Sally Boy (Ft Hong Kong Boyfriend)

If you are looking for an excellent pop record, I think “Good at Being Lonely” is what you need in your life. Sally Boy teams up with Hong Kong Boyfriend for a cute record discussing how the girl they want is okay with being by herself. Very relatable in my current situation, so maybe I have a slight bias in why I enjoy the record so much. Let me know what you think of the song!
