Despite all of the dope shit that’s come out of Memphis since the 90’s, it unjustly remains an overlooked location when it comes to Hip-Hop and R&B. Jon Waltz, an insanely talented singer and songwriter who hails from the city, will hopefully change all that.
His latest track, “8 Ball,” is the latest in a long line of incredible tracks that he’s been releasing on SoundCloud over the past few years. He takes his sweet time with his releases, but they’re always well worth the wait. “8 Ball” has soaring melodies and an anthemic chorus that’s made for arenas, and it wouldn’t surprise us if Waltz makes it to that level one day. Don’t take your eye off of this one.
