Greek’s Debut Album is Pure Ecstasy

Over the last year, Greek has made leaps and bounds with consistent offerings of pure sonic bliss. With recent singles such as “Safety” and “Rewind” garnering widespread acclaim for their raw, magnetic appeal, the Virginia native’s most recent offering triumphs all.

The entirely self-produced, thematically dark and gritty debut album EXTC took around a year and some change to put together according to Greek, and pays careful attention to building an entire atmosphere for the listener to sink into. Lyrically and symbolically, the project as a whole is extremely raw and occasionally all over the place, but that’s part of what makes it so beautiful. It pushes boundaries that many people weren’t even aware were there in the first place, and for being primarily cultivated out of a makeshift garage studio in Raleigh, NC, the quality of the work is absolutely top-tier.

Overall, this entire project is nothing short of ecstasy (EXTC) and is certainly one you’ll want to throw on and listen to all the way through– from “lovers&friends” to “bones,” with absolutely zero skips. In all honesty, each song can sit comfortably side-by-side any work from Daniel Caesar and Frank Ocean a match their level of greatness every step of the way. It is only a matter of time until the rest of the world catches on to the quality of music that Greek consistently provides and recognizes that he is truly a young superstar in the making.
