After getting his first taste of the spotlight with his single “40 Min” released back in May, the St. Louis star strikes again. His newest delivery is a 6-track EP titled “4Ever” and it goes to show that Herb4k is one of the most versatile artists in the underground. The project clocks in at about 13 minutes, and is definitely worth the listen.
We start off on a dark and eerie note with the intro track “Nine Heights”. Herb really puts emphasis on his vocals, delivering a beautiful hook that will leave listeners mesmerized. This track leads us into the next 2, which serve as the more energetic tracks on the project. Both “SuperStar” and “Melrose Ave” are catchy, up-beat bangers that will be great songs for Herb‘s live shows. “Kountin Me Out” is my personal favorite off the project. It’s got a more serene atmosphere to it and is extremely catchy. The final 2 tracks are “Help” and “Death To Us”, and they really highlight Herb4k‘s versatility. “Help” is a mellow, catchy tune, whereas “Death To Us” is an ode to Herb4k‘s past relationship and the ups and downs that came with it. This project is nuts, and you’d be doing a disservice to yourself if you don’t listen. Tune in down below.
