Jack Kays came onto my radar a few months back with the release of his single “Wasted” off his project entitled My Favorite Nightmares. This project was h pretty solid introduction to the world from a rap-inspired standpoint. This time around with “Morbid Mind,” Kays shows us another side of the coin.
With the upbeat strums of an acoustic guitar, we hear this kid belt out a rugged, yet beautiful melody. His lyrics speak of strength and tenacity, but still bleed a great deal of emotion as the song flows on. With harsh statements about his inner-most flaws put right in front of the listener, it’s only a matter of time before he sparks genuine connections with fans. Kays possesses a great deal of relatability, but don’t let that distract you from his talents. I can see this kid making some major plays with the right team around him.
