It doesn’t take much to come to the conclusion that Kai Ca$h is one of New York’s up-and-coming kingpins. He lives and breathes Brooklyn, and his new EP “CA$H: The Elegant Fella” reveals him to be Jay Z‘s sonic and spiritual heir. Although it’s been an especially crowded year, Ca$h has come through with a project that equates to a 15-minute highlight reel.
The project’s centerpiece and best track is undoubtedly the posse cut titled “No Letting Go.” Ca$h has tapped fellow New Yorker Niko Brim and heir to hip-hop-royalty Domani to assist him on this track, bringing the vibe to an entirely new level. The three trade verses over a smooth-as-butter beat, making for a song that can be replayed over and over again. Ca$h already had 2021 in the bag with his 711 full-length, but this is really the icing on the cake.
