Angelic Hoodrat: SuperCut is a genre-bending body of work that will be able to stand the test of time. Atlanta-born Kenny Mason effortlessly combines trap music and alternative rock in a way I have yet to see be done until now. Mason has a knack for wordplay and incredible knowledge of the English language. His use of alliteration is sprinkled through each track and always manages to impress me.
Standout tracks from the project are “43”, “A+”, “Much Money”, and “Titian”. Each of these songs encompasses a different aspect of Mason’s abilities. Also, he was able to get some great features from Denzel Curry and Freddie Gibs on the tracklist. He is establishing himself amongst some of the greatest lyricists of our generation.
