Kevin Powers is a unique artist because of his smoothing melodies that enrich whatever production he chooses. A lot of kids get carried by the beat, but Powers stays in the pocket, calm as ever. “Talkin Like” isn’t a crazy complicated piece of cinema, but the crisp shots convey what he’s trying to get across. Direction from JB Visual shows him above the rim, on the court, and in the car dropping off his wordplay.
