Holy shit, hope you weren’t getting tired of the summertime already because Toronto native Killy is making sure the heat is here to stay with this new WondaGurl produced banger “Allegiance.” The song starts with an incredibly smooth sample from “Golden Brown”, an ominous yet groovy track by The Stranglers that was debuted back in 1981. The tone quickly changes as Killy comes in swift off the first hard knocking bass that WondaGurl delivers to the track. The seamless genre bending that is happening here is honestly breathtaking as the harsh yet melodic guitar sample from the Stranglers track echoes behind the heavy hits that keep the energy afloat. Killy switches between crooning and punching the kicks with some fire flows, effortlessly switching his delivery as the track shifts and morphs and the sample flips. If you’re a fan of quality music, you’re in for a treat with this one. Peep it below.
