Man. I haven’t seen a show so lit in a while. Both Reggie Bonds & Lil Uzi Vert are no strangers to Daily Chiefers. Last night in Milwaukee I got to stop by The Rave yet again for another sick hip-hop show.
So I got there pretty early to meet up with the Rebel Nxtion dudes, and talking with them was pretty cool. They’re all really down to earth, humble folks. I walked in and started talking to some fans, and one person said, ” I drove 4 hours for this concert.” This was no regular show. Sold out. 4,000+ kids packed into the ancient Eagles Ballroom. This show went way up.
Reggie Bonds came with the heat during his set. He brought out another familiar face to Daily Chiefers, Mike Regal. DJ Mando really got the crowd jumping before his set though, and I don’t think anyone could’ve asked for a better opening set last night. I saw hundreds of kids singing along to Reggie, which was cool for me, being a Milwaukee native. I would go as far as to say that Reggie Bonds was the perfect person to get the crowd going for Lil Uzi Vert.
Lil Uzi played somewhere from around 8:30 – 9:15. This concert was cut short because of the curfew for all under-age kids in Wisconsin. Despite having a slightly shorter set, Lil Uzi Vert absolutely killed it. He played pretty much all of his biggest songs, and the show ended exactly at 9:15. I heard some kids complaining about the show being cut short, but I thought it was actually pretty perfect.
All in all, I did have a sick time. The performances were both perfect 10’s, and I mean that. Tune back in for my coverage of the Lil Yachty show on 9/3. I’ll have Reggie’s latest track “Eye Am” steaming below.
