Now Luke Bar$ is a part of the Brockton collective, Van Buren Records and he put out a serious debut project entitled GoodEvil. Since it’s release the internet has been blown away by his diverse cadences, impressive breathe control and overall creative bliss. With this momentum, Luke gifts his new fans a set of frames for the heater “Gangbanger”.
This instrumentation was handled by Kiron Akil, looping a chaotic piano sample and melding it over distorted bass. Then Luke walks in and dismantles any sort of idea of organized thinking. His flows tip-toe along the line of insanity all while this intense percussion pushes him to snap more. In these shots directed by FufuNsoup, we see Bar$ essentially lose his mind while delivering his verses. The brown bag next to him is stained with condensation, so we could only imagine what the preferred beverage is. This seems to be the fuel to the fire, while he leaves it all on the line.
After he dipping from the crib to head out into the dark abyss, the theme that arises seems to be Luke fighting with his inner most turmoils. A very honest reflection of insecurities that showcases his brilliant talent. This is a mind-fuck, but it grabs our attention from start to finish.
