Her new track “Nothing At All” accompanied by an acoustic, live rendition of the song, shows off the LA native’s raw lyrical talent and ear for lively instrumentals. Backed by live drums, dope backup vocalists, and electric guitars, NCognita raps about people who’ve taken advantage of her and how she’s been able to grow from these experiences.
Equally as impressive is the young rapper’s attention to detail when it came to the curation of the live session. The old-school NPR Tiny Desk feel of the video added a vintage element to a song with an already classical feeling. Check out “Nothing At All” below.
