Between Jakob from Side By Side and the homie over at Elevator Mag I’ve been getting put on game with a lot of dope artists out of the Chicago area. This is my first time hearing of Nick Astro but man this dude is dope! Astro is definitely unique when comparing him to the various sounds coming out of Chicago right now, which he describes himself as a “skateboarding, filmmaking, baseball shirt wearing philanthropist rapper.”
Stream Astro’s “Ribbon In The Sky” featuring Anthony White below, which will mark the beginning of his campaign towards the release of his Listen To New Music project. Just as the project says in the name, check out some new music from Astro and you will likely be wanting to hear more from the South Side Chicago artist.
