As of late, Chicago has had to deal with one of the worst crisis’ in modern-day American history. Chicago has lived in infamy for its gang violence, drug abuse, and high murder rates, but with the emergence of the new hip-hop scene, we have seen these horrific numbers rise. Rappers such as Chief Keef, Lil Durk and Lil Reese benefit from these harsh conditions by just rapping about everyday life in Chicago.
So, Noisey sent Thomas Morton to Chicago to gives a first person view of just how rough the area of Chicago really is. Morton teams up with Young Chop, Lil Durk, Lil Reese and Peeda Pan, the manager of Glory Boyz Entertainment, to give us the inside look on Chicago gun violence and the culture that has become of it.
