After spilling the beans on Drakes forthcoming new mixtape, P. Reign returns to the DC pages with a track of his own. Production duo Keyz N Krates, who come from the 6 as well, link up with OVO’s P. Reign for dope new single, “Yes We Faded.” Here’s what they had to say about the record:
This collab was well overdue. We were telling P’s manager about a year ago that we had an idea to do this track with kinda slow tripped out singing over it and thought he might be a good fit after hearing his track “We Them Niggas”. So after we dropped the Every Nite EP we thought why not turn “Yes We Faded” into exactly that – We sent the beat over the P and he wrote a nasty ass hook and sent it right back. As soon as we heard the hook, we were all like “dude let’s get in the lab immediately and make this into a whole tune with verses and all that.” We went to P’s studio and within hours he banged out a crazy song over our beat right in front of us. Hope you guys dig this as much as we do. Have a drink to it or don’t?
