Resilience is an important trait to possess. Not only does it allow you to keep pushing regardless of circumstance, but it also showcases the true will and passion of a person. Life will continuously kick you in the dick, but it’s how you recover from the contact with your genitalia. I know, where is he going with this one, all I’m saying is take this shit a day at a time and keep going. You can do it.
NVSV – Fear Of The Unknown
NVSV is making his first appearance on our pages but the technicolor production and precise wordplay astound the people. The vivacious sample meshes with the baritone delivery of our protagonist. He drops rich gems that are a refreshing break from the current mess of modern music. It’s songs like “Fear Of The Unknown” that revitalize a music lover’s ear for sampling. This is top-tier work, don’t sleep on NVSV.
Skeeterlaflare – Straight Drop
Skeeterlaflare makes an appearance on our pages with his animated music video for “Straight Drop”. Not only does the GTA edit help the video keep our attention, but the song is a heater to say the very least. The bounce of the percussion aided by Laflare‘s charisma and cadence astounds the ear. It keeps us listening and forces motion in the spine. Good music is unstoppable and this man just dropped that. Excited to see more from this guy because he’s onto something serious.
Nova – Untitled Summer 2023
Nova has been a legend in the game now for some time and he’s back with his project Untitled Summer 2023. In just seven cuts we hear futuristic vocals with airy samples and bountiful instrumentation. There’s a wide variety of genres on this one from Rap to Pop and just about everything in between. “All My Reasons 2” is a real standout, but flows brilliantly into “Ok I Lose This 1”. Nova is really a master in two fields. He can pen memorable vocals, but his production is always next level. “DIY” rounds things out in a stellar fashion, making the listener fiend for more. Nova is a goat, get hip.
Jireh – Parking
Jireh is one of Baton Rouge’s brightest shining stars and he delivers the poignant video for “Parking”. Utilizing his working man’s prowess and DIY styling, the wordplay melds with the scenes atop production from Ehllevans. Almost so perfectly that we never question what the budget was for this film. Thought it doesn’t need to be an expensive creation when you have real visionaries at the helm of the ship. With help from CarlosSanchez.img on the shots and edits, this duo showcased a real moment of creative bliss. This should come as no surprise though because Jireh, doesn’t miss.
