Boon has come such a long way over the years and this opus is a true testament to how great his music is becoming. This is essentially a catch-up session for the fans who have just joined the Boonie train over the recent months. A sound unlike any other is what you could describe Emotional Trap, but honestly, that statement is not to be taken lightly. I have no idea what you would call this if it weren’t moving electricity in the form of incredibly catchy songs.
Luckily you don’t have to worry too much about the schematics of the situation, just sit back and be amazed. Of course, we have shining collaborative elements from loe4t,
funeral, deadph0ne, Hadji Gaviota, Mike Mroz and Kevin Darcy, but this team effort created one of the best projects of the year.
“everything ab u” might be the new focus, but there isn’t a cut that lacks behind in any manner. “Gigi/Sunlight” is still a smash, while “Worthless” and “Paint The City Red” showcase a new taste for the people. It’s astounding to me that Boon isn’t bigger than he is right now, but give it a few more months. This kid is out of here.
