The Rising V Volume 4: Another Day Another Banger

To aid me in my quest to find the most fire tracks in all of existence, I have come up with the rule that in my daily music hunts I cannot stop searching through SoundCloud tracks until I have found an absolute banger. That way I will have at least found one banger a day. This is where the title of this volume comes from. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule. I’m not going to sit in my chair for an endless amount of hours, listening to 40 different rappers, all of whom have the same flow, rhythm, delivery, and cadence, but for the most part I’m going to make sure I can supply you guys with latest in fire music. So sit back, put your headphones in, and enjoy my top picks for the last week (or the last 2 or 3 I know it’s been a while since the last volume).

Crashgocrazy

Crash really does go crazy. His track “Paradise” is something else. My favorite part about the track is Crash’s raspy vocals and how well the production works with his voice. The buildup at the beginning of the track is also great and leads up to a nice drop. Overall good production. Check out “Paradise” down below.

Relics

Relics is an artist that stuck with me because of his dope beat selection and song arrangement. I like that he tries to experiment with his sound and try new things in each track. “Reaper” really stood out to me because his vocals mesh so nicely with the guitar instrumental. Relics is pretty early in his career, but if he goes hard I could see him doing big things. Check out “Reaper” down below.

Szns

Houston has another one. If you’ve read any of my other articles you know I love when artists from my city start to make a name for themselves, and Szns is an artist who’s been doing just that. His psychedelic/electric production mixed with his R&B/Soul oriented vocals and flow creates a beautiful sound. Lately I’ve found myself blasting Szns on many occasions. Check out one of my personal favorites “Drugs and Fun” down below.

Keezo

I like Keezo a lot. High energy, a great flow, good lyricism, and pristine production. His song “Yachty in 2016” is a good demonstration of the young rapper’s talent. This was a song that I just couldn’t get out of my head, even after a week of having heard it for the first time. Definitely really catchy and worth a listen. Check out “Yachty in 2016” down below.

Nicholas Mick

Nicholas Mick blew me away completely. I was not expecting him to have the vocal capacity that he possesses. “Something Money Can’t Buy” is an amazing track. Nicholas’s voice sounds so fresh and the production on this track is beautiful. This is undoubtedly my favorite track of the week. Check out “Something Money Can’t Buy” down below.
