We’ve been tuned into Tino Szn here at Chiefers for some time now, and there’s good reason for it as he continues to deliver with release after release. The Charlotte native is now back with his fifth album “Sentient” and this may be my favorite one yet. He’s found his own lane with these recent releases, and this project has influences from all ends of rap right now with Playboi Carti like adlibs, Drake-style production on some tracks, but Yeat reminiscent beats over others. He’s always proven to be a versatile artist, and with this project, he’s really able to check all the boxes. If you like hip hop there’s definitely a track on here for you.
After a big year in 2021 landing a feature from $not and amassing a loyal fanbase of his own, Tino Szn was due for a great project, and with this one I feel he’s cemented himself as a force in the underground scene. With slow tracks like “Right Here”, aux bangers like “Danny Phantom” and club hits like “Drowning Out”, I expect this album to be everywhere this summer and I can’t wait to see the effect it has.
