Tri submitted to us last week, but this music was that good we had to tap all the way in. “Moment” is a fusion of gentle R&B and the wondrous arrogance of rap. In these visuals we see the director and editor, Brittney Briggs, play with a variety of light. Though, each of these scenes builds around Tri and the color chosen which equates to heavy moods.
With the instrumentation brimming at the seams, you won’t find any reasons to not pay attention to this cut. Not the traditional Chicago sound, but by now there isn’t a conventional go-to sound that comes from the city. Past the eras of Keef, Durk, and Chance, Tri offers another wave to glide away with. Do yourself a favor and peep the gas below.
