South Carolina has always been a hotbed for talent but hasn’t always gotten the credit it’s deserved. However, Dalzell, SC native Turbo looks to change that with his track “Ocean Blues”. Throughout the song, Turbo alternates between boasting about taking your bitch and painting a picture of growing up in South Carolina.
What I like about Turbo is how he’s able to channel the grittiness of painful past experiences into a hunger that breaks through his melodic croons. The 20-year-old rapper balances the bragging about all of the typical Rap tropes with a pensive and at times introspective look into his life. Check out the track below.
