In 2019, we did an interview with Houston star WAV, where we sat down with him in NYC and learned the story behind his success. Today he returns to our pages with his latest single “Never Around”.
This past week, WAV dropped a brand new heater produced by Benjay and Gabalone, and it deserves to be spotlighted. The Brooklyn-born Houston native has begun to initialize his climb to the top, and he’s got plenty of momentum after a tour with Lil Tecca and Pi’erre Bourne (and a single with D Savage and Ronsocold). This upbeat track is one of WAV‘s best, and it’s another notch on the belt of this future star. “Never Around” is a great wintertime cut, and is an awesome track for him to perform. Benjay and Gabalone snapped on the production, with perfect percussion to accompany the beautiful guitar-based melody. WAV once again leaves us anticipating more, hinting at a very momentous year.
