Okay, so we finally have an update on the gun possession case that Jeezy plead “not guilty” way back in September. The Snowman can now breathe easy again because TMZ reports that the illegal weapons charges has been thrown out this morning by the Orange County D.A. — because they weren’t able to find substantial evidence to proceed.
In September, Jeezy and five others were arrested for illegal possession of two AK-47s, but it was found out later that the security chief had purchased the weapons legally – without Jeezy knowing. In addition to that, DNA evidence has also revealed that the six men arrested were not involved with the weapon that was taken in. As TMZ reports, “All 6 had their money, jewelry, clothing and other personal items seized, even though it had nothing to do with the alleged offense.”
Jeezy had this to say about the situation:
“I pray this had nothing to do with race but it definitely had nothing to do with evidence. I knew that the allegations and charges were based on zero facts. I’m relieved that the truth has prevailed.”
