West Memphis, AR’s YTB Fatt has been on a tear since being signed to Moneybagg Yo‘s Bread Gang label.
“Shot Off Gumbo” details Fatt‘s newfound success in a way that shows how hungry is for more. Fatt‘s tight flows over Yung Dee‘s boisterous production make you feel like in the back seat of his Rolls Royce with $20,000 cash laid next to you.
Since signing with Bagg, YTB Fatt‘s collaboration “Foxes & Boppas” with 1017’s Sett, “I Told You That” and “Don’t Crash” have been in heavy rotation for me.
Fatt’s laid-back confidence and the imagery that his lyrics paint offer a refreshing perspective to the sometimes stale “motion music” subgenre of rap.
In addition, putting his close friend and fellow Arkansas up-and-comer Fat Wizza on a song with Moneybagg Yo is a boss move and makes it hard not to root for him.
