I’ve been recently expanding my taste in music and I somehow stumbled upon an artist by the name of Groupthink, who is a hidden gem in the music scene. My initial discovery of Groupthink was introduced by his most recent single “Groupie,” of which has been stuck in my head repeatedly this last week with catchy lyrics and melodic captivating vocals.
The grunge-like guitar melody computes to the song’s vibe, bringing distortion and drowned feedback. Mix that distorted guitar with the notable kick drum and subtle cymbal, and you have this catchy hit. If you dig deeper into his previous releases, you’ll notice that Groupthink has been creating outstanding music all year.
