I learn with each passing day that people aren’t going to get excited about your joy. Sure, that would be nice to see others happy about your accomplishments, but that’s asking a lot of human beings. I say that with a rich dose of sarcasm, but the lack of support or congrats cannot bring you down. Your joy needs to be guarded with your life. Meaning that if you don’t protect the things that make you happy, the world will snatch them away or distract you from enjoying the moment. Valid and Stretch Money are back on our pages with their collection of work called Bill & Isiah. This ode to some of the great Pistons of yesteryear focuses on showcasing shining examples of the pristine cadence that covers the instrumentation. Instead of following trends or trying to put on a front for something he’s not, Ghost is just that to the nonsense. This cut doesn’t have a ceiling along with the other music in his catalog. Alfeso and Ole Holter weren’t on my radar, but after a good friend sent this one over, they are now. Not to say that’s all it takes, because I get sent a lot of bullshit. But this also means that the great songs will always bleed through. “Level Up” is a futuristic wave that showcases stellar vocal runs and a memorable instrumental of the Pluggnb variety. Music like this feels great and translates to those who an ear who’s searching for the next thing. This one is crazy peep it all above.
