It’s finally here.
After a year of delay’s and snippets, Miami’s Smokepurpp finally unleashes his 17-track album, DEADSTAR 2. The original DEADSTAR album was considered a SoundCloud classic, filled with Ronny J-produced bangers and even an epic Chief Keef feature, so you know the follow-up has been well awaited.
As expected, DS2 is filled with slappers across the 17 records, but also mixes in a bunch melodic to showcase his true versatility. My personal favorite has to be the standout record, “What I Please,” featuring Miami’s Denzel Curry, along with the album cut, “Ariba.” Overall, I felt like it was good to hear Smokepurpp on a record again, it’s been almost a year since we’ve really seen anything from the Florida rapper. And now we got 17 songs, so fucking enjoy it!
